Umpire Registrations:

Clubs may or may not have noticed our new Umpire Registration Form 2023.  

  • Umpire Registration process:
    1. Registering own umpire: Fill in this form, this form provides you with the ability to tell us your umpire involvements.  Avoiding us from allocating your umpire when they are playing, coaching or managing: Umpire Registration 2023 
    2. Team Builder Umpire Registration: There is an option via Team Builder to register your referee/official/umpire.  However, this form will NOT  tell us your umpires involvements.  It also requests a photo of your umpire as if they are a player.  This is not required on the Umpire Registration Form 2023.  We recommend that if you have used the player registration to register your umpire, and they have other involvements on a Saturday that you fill in the Umpire Registration 2023 form as well.  It is this form that the office and umpire committee will use to allocate umpires to the draw.

SATURDAY COMPETITION UPDATES

Grading Days are fast approaching - Is your team ready? 

  • Saturday 18th March - Intermediate Grading Day
  • Saturday 25th March - Coll/U15 Grading Day
  • Saturday 1st March - Seniors and Year 5&6 Grading Day

Senior Premier Grading Days are during the week.

  • Wednesday 22nd March
  • Monday 27th March
  • Wednesday 5th March

Final Dates for Player Registrations into Team Builder and Fees:

  • Friday 3rd March - Senior Premier
  • Friday 10th March - College/U15
  • Friday 17th March - Senior Grades & Year 5&6
  • Friday 24th March - Year 1-4 Grades

* Date Change: Please note the change in date for Year 5&6, this now aligns to the change of Grading Day.

* Fee Extensions: Please note that clubs are able to contact the office if you are experiencing financial hardship, we can then work with your club on fee extensions, funding support or payment plans.  

* Sporty Support: Please contact admin@papakuranetball.org.nz if you are experiencing difficulties with navigating Sporty, our team are here to help you if you need.  

*College/U15 Grading Day: NO DATE CHANGE, based on the responses we received from all clubs, it appears our teams can grade on the 25th March. 

*Grading Day Defaults: There is NO penalty to the club or team should your team be unable to take the court at the scheduled grading days.  All we ask is that this is communicated to us as soon as possible.  Teams who do not participate at grading however will be allocated to grades at the discretion of PNC. 

Club Information 2023: 

  • It’s time to start booking your outdoor courts for training.  Please see the form below.
  • We encourage all clubs to please ensure that your players add photos to their registration.  These photos are what will aid Team Scorers in ensuring all players taking the courts are registered.  Pink Sheets will be removed this season, making player photos our main source.
  • Photos can only be seen by team scorers, who require a scorers code to access it.  The Club provides these. Photos will NOT be publicly shared on our website.

Umpire Development

  • Introduction to Umpiring - Is the first step on the Umpiring journey.  This can be done online, to access the online learning please see the link below.
  • Fitness Testing Registration Form - Fitness testing can be daunting, however to keep up with our players we encourage all umpires to give this a go.  All levels are welcome! Come along to a safe and inclusive space to give the fitness testing a go.
  • Umpire Coaching Form - The Umpire assessment form has been changed to Umpire Coaching.  The cost of this is $10. Once signed up and paid, our Umpire Committee will provide active coaching, and assessment when they believe you are ready!
