CMSS Competition Information

COUNTIES MANUKAU SECONDARY SCHOOL NETBALL COMPETITION


The Counties Manukau Secondary School Netball Competition (CMSS) will be administered and delivered by Papakura Netball Centre (PNC) in 2024.


2024 COMPETITION INFORMATION

The 11-week CMSS Competition will be played on Wednesday evenings over 3 rounds being:

  • 4.10pm
  • 5.10pm
  • 6.10pm


The competition commences on 8th May through to 31st  July (no play 10th & 17th July – School Holidays).


TEAM ENTRY:

Schools must first complete the Team Entry Form (teambuilder in sporty), to advise Papakura Netball Centre of their team names, grades requested and coach details, by no later than Friday 5th April 2024.

$500 incl. GST per Y9-Premier team payment is due with completed Team Registration Form,  by no later than Friday 5th April 2024.  

$350 incl. GST per Year 7 or 8 team payment is due with completed Team Registration Form, by no later than Friday 5th April 2024.

Please Note:

  • Papakura Netball Centre will rotate as many grades as possible through the indoor Arena with the following grades ONLY playing indoors: Premier 1 & 2 and Mixed Open.   Indoor Arena play will be played ALL rounds, 4:10pm,  5:10pm and 6:10pm.

  • Senior A
  • Mens/Boys Open
  • Mixed Open
  • Premier

GRADING:

Prior to the commencement of the Championship Round, a Grading Round will be coordinated for each competition grade. Team grade placement following grading, is at the discretion of the PNC Office. 

TEAM UMPIRES:

All teams must provide a suitably qualified umpire and notification of Team Umpire must be submitted via the Team Registration Form by no later than Friday 12th April 2024. 


Teams who cannot secure a suitably qualified umpire, may apply to PNC to request an umpire be provided. 

The cost for a PNC provided umpire is $200 incl. GST per umpire, payment is due with the completed CMSS Umpire Application Form by no later than Friday, 5th April 2024.


Schools who wish to participate in Umpire Development workshops in your schools are encouraged to contact us directly.  We are happy to come into schools and work with your students to build your umpire base.
