2026 FutureFERNS FESTIVAL DAY IS HERE! 

Saturday 1 August

Join us this Saturday as we celebrate the end of another fantastic nine weeks of Woolworths FutureFERNS!

Festival Day is a fun celebration of everything our young players have learned throughout the season. It's an opportunity for every player to take the court with confidence, showcase their new skills, and enjoy putting all of their learning into action in a positive, game day environment.

Come dressed in your brightest and most colourful gear, cheer on your teammates, enjoy the Festival Day atmosphere, and most importantly, have fun!

We can't wait to celebrate with all of our FutureFERNS players and families. See you on court


Festival Day Reminders

To help everyone have a fun and enjoyable Festival Day, please keep the following in mind:

🏐 Every team plays up to three games: 

All players will participate in three games or two games and one activity session, depending on the number of teams in their grade. We've allocated courts so teams stay in the same area as much as possible, making it easier for whānau to watch without needing to move around the venue.

📵 No Live Streaming: 

To help protect the privacy and wellbeing of our youngest players, live streaming is not permitted anywhere at Papakura Netball Centre. Photos and short video clips for personal memories are welcome, but please respect the privacy of all participants.

💜 Keep it Positive: 

Festival Day is all about celebrating learning, participation, and having fun. Please support every player, Star Helper Coach, and volunteer with positive encouragement. Remember our Love Their Game philosophy. Let the children play, learn, and enjoy the experience in a safe and supportive environment.

🏅 Prizegiving Celebration: 

Everyone is invited to stay for our Festival Day Prizegiving at the conclusion of the final round. Whānau are welcome to watch from the upstairs viewing area above Courts 1 and 2, or from courtside on Courts 1 and 2 only.

To help us look after our courts:

  • Please stay on the carpeted areas.
  • No drinks are permitted on the courts.
  • No high heels or gumboots are allowed on the playing surface.

Our volunteer photographers will be capturing the day, and all team photos will be shared with your club following Festival Day.
